How our tailored Time 3.0 software solution helped the Chamber upgrade its digital offering (KauppakamariTieto and Ammattikirjasto)

The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce contacted Timehouse after recognising the need to improve editorial processes and the usability of online bookshelves.

The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce wanted to improve the functionality and usability of its online services KauppakamariTieto and Ammattikirjasto, as well as improve their maintainability and efficiency. With the help of Timehouse’s know-how, both digital services were completely renewed. The renewed sites are easier to use, the search functions are much improved, and the digital materials themselves meet accessibility criteria. At the same time, the renewed editorial system makes editorial work more efficient. The upgrade also enabled us to produce our own e-books.

After this successful project, the a good working relationship with Timehouse has continued with a variety of development projects, such as the development of new types of digital PRO services. A functioning partnership has brought continuous improvements to the Chamber’s digital services from both a functionality and a maintenance perspective.

How was Timehouse selected as a partner?

Leena Viitala, who works as a Producer of the Chamber’s economics and taxation publications, knew Timehouse from previous collaboration projects with WSOY and Sanoma Pro and recommended their services to the Chamber.


Maintaining the old KauppakamariTieto and Ammattikirjasto was a cumbersome process and customers were dissatisfied with the usability of the services. The old old services did not allow certain features and functions that customers wanted.


The backbone of the Chamber’s KauppakamariTieto service is Timehouse’s Time 3.0 publishing system. The service was integrated into the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce’s online store and CRM system. The project also included the site’s SSO single sign-in solution.

Timehouse provided the Chamber with an extensive Time 3.0 -solution precisely tailored to the Chamber’s editorial and content needs, making the Chamber’s online services more durable and long–lasting. TimeBase was the basis of the versatile content and data delivery system and TimePub was tailored to support online content and specific search functions. The Chamber commissioned the visuals and interface design from another provider, with Timehouse providing the back-end tech and integration(s). The internal search function and the content management processes were entirely made with Time products.

The digital service NPS (Net promoter score) had a significant increase and since the beginning of 2023 has always remained above 65
